Kart Fighter

Kart Fighter is an unauthorized versus fighting video game released for the Nintendo Family Computer game console, utilizing the characters from Super Mario Kart. Some background sprites are based on the NES game Little Nemo: The Dream Master and the SNES game Mario & Wario. The title screen music, as well as the character select music, are that of the respective title screen music and character select music from the SNES Super Mario Kart.

The cartridge is hard to find, while the ROM can be downloaded from various websites on the internet. There is no game over screen (although there are buried 'Game Over' graphics inside the ROM). Either beating the game or losing the game (and not continuing within nine seconds) results in going straight to the high score screen. However, after beating the game on the highest difficulty, the player will also get 'The End' cutscene.

Kart Fighter's fighting engine is used in some other games such as "Turbo Mortal Kombat II/III", "AV Mei Shao Nv Zhan Shi", and "Yuu Yuu Hakusho Final (NES)".
