[edit] Story
You have no choice but to take on this mission. The Master of Chaos - warped by centuries of evil - holds a Staff of Power. From his lair in the ruined city of Kabesh, he plans to unite the forces of evil and chaos and plunge Titan into a Dark Age. YOU must find him and win back the Staff... whatever it takes.
The player takes the part of a famous and talented warrior who must travel to the ruined city of Kabesh in the midst of Khul, the Dark Continent. But he cannot travel openly - he must play the role of a slave pressganged onto a pirate ship. The first task is therefore to escape captivity, gain money and necessary equipment to get to Kabesh. Once arriving at the ruins, the player must locate the secret lair of the Master of Chaos and fight him to recover the Staff. Enhazarding the mission, however, is a Dark Elf competitor who may become an erstwhile ally, but in the end only one may claim the Staff for his own.
The books features a NOTORIETY score which represents how much attention is being paid to the player. This does not adversely affect events on the adventure on the whole, but can make the task more difficult in the initial phase as the player must struggle to gain vital necessities for the rest of the adventure.
